Despite Gujarat’s current level of industrialization, the state’s citizens have done a great job of preserving its illustrious heritage. Even now, ancient temples, palaces, and forts remain tall to narrate tales of past dynasties, kings, and periods. Gujarat is also the location of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will only want to stay in the state for a few more days if you are interested in history. Ancient civilizations have created architectural wonders that may be found all throughout the state. After breakfast, go through Champaner, a famous Gujarati city founded by Bhav Sinhji, on your way to Utelia. A Varghela Rajput member. There are numerous architectural treasures scattered around this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once there, check out the Champaner Fort, Jama Masjid, Kalika Temple, and other well-known tourist destinations. Arrive in the evening at Utelia. Finish the hotel check-in procedures. After breakfast this morning, travel to Lothal, one of the major Harappan cities. The most insight into the history of the Indus Valley Civilization, its dynamic flight, and its terrible decline may be gained from Lothal, the Harappan culture’s most recently unearthed site in India. Once there, investigate the ruins of the thriving business district from 2000 BCE. Then proceed to Bhavnagar, a historic city established in 1724. After you arrive, finish the hotel check-in procedures. Shopping in the neighborhood bazaar and a visit to the Barton Museum are planned for the evening.
After breakfast, drive 56 kilometers from Bhavnagar to Palitana for an excursion. Palitana is a highly revered location for the Jain community, who come here in search of nirvana. The 863 exquisitely carved temples were built in the eleventh century and are located atop Shatrunjaya Hill. After touring the temples, return by car to Bhavnagar for the night.
After breakfast today, depart for Diu, which was formerly a Portuguese territory before India seized it in 1961. Visit the Somnath temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva, while traveling. Numerous Muslim monarchs demolished and pillaged the temple of Somnath. In 1025 AD, Mahmud of Ghazini launched the first raid, destroying the entire temple and stealing gold. King Bhima of Gujarat and King Bhoja of Malwa repaired it. In 1300 AD, Allauddin Khilji attacked it once more; King Mahipala then reconstructed the temple. It was constantly destroyed and then rebuilt. Drive to Diu after seeing Somnath, then check into your beachside resort. Spend the night at your resort.
You can travel to the princely town of Wankaner after enjoying a leisurely breakfast at your lovely hotel. Some must-see sights on your route to Wankaner include the Watson Museum and Rashtriya Shala. A museum dedicated to human history and culture is the Watson Museum in Rajkot, India. Its holdings of priceless artifacts from India’s colonial era and Rajkot’s history Continue on to Wankaner. Check in at your hotel when you arrive. Later, depart for a tour of the surrounding village and the Wankaner Palace Museum, the former residence of the Wankaner royalty that is now a museum. Spend the night in Wankaner.
Drive to Ahmedabad after breakfast at the hotel. Take a sightseeing trip of Ahmedabad in the afternoon. Make a prompt transfer to the Ahmedabad railway station or airport in the evening in order to catch a train or flight to your next location.
