Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

You will be transported to the hotel you have reserved after meeting and greeting at Mumbai’s international airport. Spend the night at the hotel.

Following breakfast in the morning, our guide will meet you and take you on a full day of sightseeing in Mumbai, beginning with a trip to Elephanta. To explore the rock-cut temples devoted to Lord Shiva, take the boat to Elephanta Caves from Gateway of India. Later, go to the Prince of Wales Museum, which has a variety of collections of Indus Valley terracotta figurines and Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. Additionally, go to Dhobi Ghat to observe an open laundry where an Indian guy washes garments. Other noteworthy locations include Mani Bhavan,

Proceed to the airport to catch your flight to Rajkot after breakfast. When you arrive in Rajkot, our representative will meet you and take you to your accommodation. Gujarat’s fourth-largest city is Rajkot. See Kaba Gandhi No Delo, the home of the renowned liberation warrior Mahatma Gandhi, who stayed there starting when he was six years old. It features a respectable collection of his possessions. The antiquities from Mohenjodaro are housed in the Watson Museum and Library, which was established in 1888 AD. After a hotel breakfast in the morning, travel to Sasangir, the home of the Asiatic Lion, while stopping in the ancient town of Junagarh. One of the two step wells features a lengthy staircase. The other features an impressive circular staircase and was constructed in the eleventh century.This area is home to numerous significant Hindu temples. When you get to Sasangir, check into your lodging.

Enjoy the jungle safari all day today. The lion thrives in Gir’s shrubland. The entire area of the ecosystem is 1412 square kilometers. After breakfast today, depart for Diu, which was formerly a Portuguese territory before India seized it in 1961. Visit the Somnath temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva, while traveling. Numerous Muslim monarchs demolished and pillaged the temple of Somnath. In 1025 AD, Mahmud of Ghazini launched the first raid, destroying the entire temple and stealing gold. King Bhima of Gujarat and King Bhoja of Malwa repaired it. In 1300 AD, Allauddin Khilji attacked it once more; King Mahipala then reconstructed the temple. It was constantly destroyed and then rebuilt. Drive to Diu after seeing Somnath, then check into your beachside resort. Spend the night at your resort.

Visit the enormous Portuguese fort today, which was constructed in 1541 AD. Enjoy the remainder of the day at the beach. Spend the night at your resort.

 

On the way to Bhavnagar in the morning, stop at Palitana, which is encircled by Shatrunjaya hills. There are about 863 Jain shrines atop the hill, the most notable of which is that of Sri Adishwara, the Jains’ first apostle. After touring the Jain temples, proceed to Bhavnagar, a thriving port on Saurashtra’s southeast coast that was established in 1713 A.D. Check into the hotel as you arrive. After having breakfast, leave for sightseeing of Bhavnagar. Visit Gandhi Memorial which has a small library containing books on Gandhian thoughts and small picture gallery which has some rare photographs of Mahatama Gandhi. Not forget to see Water Lock Gate; the sea water is impounded by the lock Gate to keep ships afloat during lower tide. Also visit the Barton library which is one of the oldest libraries of Gujarat. Later drive to Ahmedabad en route visiting Lothal which was one of the most prominent cities of the Indus Valley Civilization which is almost 5000 Years ago still you can see some of the remains. After breakfast this morning, take a guided city tour. Ahmed Shah established Ahmedabad in 1411 A.D., and the city bears his name. Because of its textile industries, Ahmedabad is often known as the “Manchester of India.” The highlights include Ahmed Shah’s mosque, a magnificent example of Indo-Saracenic architecture, with Hindu iconography adorning the pillars supporting the domes. Pass Teen Darwaza or Three Gateways, which are situated in the center of the crowded market. Later, observe the Shaking Minarets, which are a feature of the Siddi Bashir Mosque and may be moved by lightly pushing on the uppermost arch.
